One visit dentistry with CEREC© Onlays, Inlays and Posterior Crowns: State-of-the-art software allows us to customize and design your restoration as well as mill it on site. It is then fitted, polished and bonded for permanence to restore your tooth back to its natural form and function.
Crowns and Veneers: Crowns are recommended as the best option for the patient when there is limited tooth structure remaining, a large restoration present or after root canal treatment when the tooth is more susceptible to fracture. Our office can place gold, porcelain or ceramic lab fabricated crowns requiring two appointments. The first appointment will include tooth preparation, impressions and temporary crown placement. The final appointment will include removal of the temporary crown and cementation of the lab fabricated crown. Veneers are mainly placed to improve esthetic appearances and are usually placed on front teeth. A crown may be recommended after root canal therapy has been performed on a tooth. This will protect and strengthen the tooth as root canaled teeth are more susceptible to fracture.
Bridges: A bridge is a two appointment procedure that may be recommended to replace missing teeth. The first appointment will be the preparation of the teeth on either side of a missing tooth and a temporary bridge placed. The second appointment will be the delivery and cementation of the lab fabricated bridge.
Implants: Implants may be an option to replace missing teeth as well. A consult appointment is required and the doctor will recommend the best treatment options. Single or multiple implants can be placed in one appointment. The area can then be restored with implant-supported crowns, bridge, or dentures in subsequent appointments.
Orthodontic treatment: We offer both Invisalign treatment and braces. Invisalign therapy uses invisible aligners to move your teeth. Not everyone is a candidate for Invisalign and the doctor will give you the best treatment option for your specific case.
If you are interested in orthodontic treatment an appointment will be booked for orthodontic records. The patient will have top and bottom impressions taken and cephalometric and panoramic radiographs will be required. A consult appointment will be booked to inform you of the treatment required, how long the treatment will be and the total cost. An appointment can be booked to start your treatment once you have decided to perfect your smile.
Partial Dentures: We make partials and implant-supported overdentures. At your first appointment an impression will be taken and sent to the laboratory to start fabricating the partial denture. Several short appointments will be required to complete the partial denture. Once the partial denture has been completed and fitted you may need adjustment appointments so the partial denture is fitted perfectly and you are happy with the results.
Restorations: We offer tooth coloured composite restorations, crowns, bridges and veneers to help restore your smile. Sealants are often recommended to children who have deep pits and grooves in their molars to help prevent cavities. There is no freezing required and the sealant is painted on to the tooth. It is a quick appointment with little or no discomfort to the young patient.
Teeth Whitening: We offer take home bleaching at this time. You will need a short appointment to take impressions to make the bleaching trays. A second appointment will be booked to deliver your trays and give instructions on how to load the trays with bleaching material and the cleaning and maintenance of your trays. We may also book another short appointment in a couple of weeks to check the shade of your teeth and see how the bleaching is going.
Sport’s Mouthguards: We make mouthguards for the sports enthusiasts to help protect your smile. Two short appointments are required. An impression appointment is first then the delivery appointment to make sure the mouthguard is fitted and to go over maintenance instructions.
